SYNOPSIS
James arrives in Thailand looking to disappear, but instead, he meets Dao, a beautiful woman who pulls him into the world of The Monkey King - a Japanese macaque, a ruler who owns everything, including the people who believe they are free. As James is indulged, controlled, and stripped of his identity, he convinces himself he still has a choice. But the Monkey King is dying, and power never vanishes - it only shifts. Caught between submission and survival, James must decide whether he is still the man who wanted to leave or if he has already become part of the machine.
